Baohe Eco Resort Tourism Area

The Baohe Eco Resort Tourism Area is a National AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Baohe Eco Resort Tourism Area is 17 kilometers from the city center and situated in Baohe Town and Baotai Town of Yanjiang District. It was successfully designated as a National AAA-level tourist attraction in late 2015, covering a total planned area of 19.42 square kilometers. The area is led by creative agriculture and integrates cultural tourism. It features six major zone clusters developed in contiguous areas, including the Jiuku Hechuan Modern Agriculture Demonstration Sightseeing Park, Wuli Shuixiang Leisure Resort Villa, Shengmei Agricultural Industrial Park, Mingyuanhu Leisure Farm, Xijian Fruit Industry, and Lüneng Ecological Agricultural Industrial Park. These zones complement each other with unique and distinctive attractions, creating a holistic resort integrating a rural tourism vacation spot, modern agriculture exhibition area, farming culture experience zone, green agricultural product self-picking area, urban-rural integration demonstration area, and a model new village construction zone. To date, the area has successfully hosted events such as the Grape Picking Festival and Strawberry Picking Festival, attracting numerous visitors for harvesting experiences, flower viewing, fruit tasting, outdoor activities, and leisure fishing.

Baohe Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Ziyang City. It was established as Yanghua Township in 1909, renamed Baohe Township in 1940, and became Baohe Town in 1951. In 1955, the township and town were merged to form Chongshan Township, which was changed to a commune in 1958. It reverted to a township in 1984, and the town was re-established in 1985. Located in the northern part of the city, it is 14 kilometers from the municipal government. The town covers an area of 115.1 square kilometers and has a population of 64,000. The Ziyang–Leshan Highway passes through it, and the Yanghua River is navigable.
