Nanbin Road was originally a riverside highway built along the Yangtze River in Nan’an District. Because it gathers nearly all of Chongqing’s representative cuisines and specialty bars, it has long been

known as the “Chongqing Bund.” The dining area is concentrated along a stretch of over 3 kilometers from the south end of the Yangtze River Bridge in Nanping to Haitangxi. This is a paradise for Chongqing-style Sichuan cuisine: restaurants such as Qinma Old Hotpot, Hong Qigong Meat Shop, Grandma’s Bridge Snacks, and Shunfeng 123 Jianghu Cuisine stand side by side. The prices are reasonable — for just a hundred yuan or so, two or three people can eat their fill, then comfortably stroll to the bar district near Danzishi to enjoy a night out and perhaps meet some charming Chongqing beauties.
