Protected Area: Extending outward from the Laborers’ Memorial Monument as the center, it reaches approximately 165 meters to the southeast, about 123.2 meters to the southwest near a pond, roughly 30.5 meters to the northwest by a ditch, and about 61.2 meters to the northeast by a road. The site is enclosed by walls, covering an area of 32,644.7 square meters, or approximately 48.97 acres.

Basuo Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Dongfang City and the location of the municipal government. Established as Basuo Town in 1957, it was reorganized as a commune in 1958 and reinstated as a town in 1959. Located in the western part of the city, it borders the Beibu Gulf to the west. It covers an area of 52 square kilometers, with a population of 60,000, predominantly Han Chinese. National Highway 225 passes through the town. The railways from Basuo to Sanya and from Shilu to Basuo intersect here. The town administers three neighborhood committees—Donghai, Xingang, and Basuo—and six village committees: Basuo, Julong, Huangning, Pucao, Dagupo, and Fuyao.
