Beijing, Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The world’s leading theme park operator is facing a new challenge from the East. A cultural brand named DreamEast unveiled its ambitious development strategy globally in Orlando, U.S., on November 19 local time. Over 300 major international media outlets, including The Huffington Post, Bloomberg Businessweek, Reuters, Fox News, and Yahoo, followed up with reports. The Huffington Post commented, “Its massive scale and novel themes based on Chinese cultural stories make DreamEast theme parks attractive and highly anticipated.” Meanwhile, the renowned U.S. business innovation blog SPA.com directly questioned, “Will Disneyland remain in the top spot?” and suggested that if everything goes as planned, DreamEast could become a formidable competitor to Disney.

DreamEast’s Orlando debut attracted over 200 representatives from leading global theme park and attraction industry companies. Manufacturers such as Lagotronics, Simuline, Polyfun, Yinkang, and Botao signed on-site agreements to become strategic partners of DreamEast. Following the announcement of its development strategy, overall business plan, and the upcoming construction of the world’s largest Chinese culture-themed park — “DreamEast·Legend World” — the event sparked widespread discussion within the industry and among the media.

From November 17 to 22, 2014, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo was held in Orlando, U.S. Tianyang International (00593.HK) showcased its cultural brand “DreamEast” along with its Chinese culture-themed park projects at the event. Over 28,000 industry professionals and attendees from around the world visited this top-tier international exposition for the theme park and attraction industry.

Orlando, a central city in Florida, U.S., is home to multiple theme parks including Disney, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld, forming a vast cluster of theme parks that attract visitors from all over the world each year. It is a global leader and trendsetter in the theme park industry. The choice of Orlando by the Chinese cultural entertainment brand DreamEast to unveil its grand plans and industrial layout has demonstrated the brand’s confidence and determination to the global cultural industry, making an “Oriental Orlando” seem within reach.

Focusing on its own intellectual property rooted in Chinese culture, DreamEast will integrate world-class financial, creative, technological, and human resources advantages in China’s most economically developed, culturally vibrant, and densely populated regions — Greater Beijing, Greater Shanghai, and Greater Shenzhen — to build a comprehensive cultural industry chain platform encompassing cultural entertainment creation, presentation, and experience: the DreamEast Cultural City. This will serve as a powerful engine to drive regional development and elevate urban value through the cultural industry.
