Dongding Lake

Dongding Lake is located directly east of Banxia Dam. It is characterized by mountains encircling the water and water embracing the mountains, with layers upon layers of hills and constant unexpected scenic views. The lake stretches 4 kilometers in length and is 100 to 200 meters wide. On both shores live the hardworking and brave Yao people, who are hospitable, love singing and dancing, and wear distinctive costumes—it is a great destination for folk tourism.
