Yongfu Golden Bell Mountain Scenic Area

Yongfu Golden Bell Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

This scenic area is located near Golden Bell Mountain in Nandeng Village, Daxi Township, approximately 7 kilometers southeast of Luojin Town, Yongfu County, Guilin City. The most famous attraction here is the Golden Bell Cave, where every step inside reveals a new scene with ever-changing vistas. Most remarkably, within a single cave, visitors can experience the magical scenery of all four seasons—an absolutely unique phenomenon among other caves in the greater Guilin region. As Professor Zhu Xuewen, President of the Cave Research Association of the China Geological Society and researcher at the Institute of Karst Geology, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, once said: “This cave is one in a hundred, a world-class wonder that is fully capable of being developed into an outstanding global tourist destination.” Outside the cave, the peaks are lush and green. The non-karst hilly areas are covered with well-preserved vegetation—verdant nan bamboo all year round, maple forests that blaze red in autumn, and fragrant tea tree groves. There are fertile fields, winding paths, and scattered villages, presenting a uniquely picturesque rural landscape. The area is suitable for various themed tourism activities all year round, making it an ideal destination for sightseeing, vacationing, weekend leisure, conferences, scientific research, exploration, hiking, and reconnecting with nature.

Scenic Features: Guilin Tiankeng is a geological wonder where karst caves and sinkholes merge. It is currently the only karst funnel (tiankeng) in the greater Guilin karst tourist area that can be entered on foot from the bottom. Yongfu Hot Springs are located in the forested mid-slopes of Qilin Mountain, emerging from underground depths of over 1,000 meters. The spring water gushes out at a temperature of around 56 degrees Celsius, with abundant flow, classifying it as a high-temperature hot spring. It contains a wealth of minerals (such as selenium, iron, potassium, sodium, radon, calcium, magnesium, chromium, and solid carbon dioxide) and numerous trace elements essential to the human body. Surrounded by forests, cascading streams, and quaint bridges, the environment is elegant, the air fresh, the climate pleasant, and the springs are available for bathing all year round.

Luojin Town: Luojin Town is located in the eastern suburbs of Yongfu County, covering an area of 238 square kilometers. It administers 14 administrative villages and 316 villager groups, with a total population of 40,000, including ethnic groups such as Han, Zhuang, and Hui. To the east, it borders Huixian and Liutang in Lingui; to the west, it connects with Yongfu County town; to the south, it borders Baoli and Yangshuo; and to the north, it adjoins the Suiqiao New District. Transportation is convenient, with the Yongliang Highway (currently under planning for a “four-to-two lane” upgrade) running through the town. The town center is 15 kilometers from the county seat and 40 kilometers from Guilin. All villages in the town are accessible by road.
