Malianggu Ethnic Culture Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Set against the backdrop of over five thousand years of Dong ethnic culture, Malianggu Culture Park features rich natural resources, stunning scenery, and fresh air. The park is distinguished by its serene ecological environment, beautiful mountain and water landscapes, and untouched rural charm. The surrounding natural karst formations merge with farmland and orchards, while distant mountain vistas and nearby vegetation create a unique and captivating natural landscape.

Malianggu is an eco-friendly ancient village that combines Dong ethnic folk culture tours, leisure sightseeing, and ethnic ecological experiences. It has been home for generations to the Dong people—one of Guangxi’s four major ethnic minorities. The village preserves a wealth of historic, Dong-style farming tools, each a testament to the diligence and wisdom of the Dong people. Each tool seems to tell the story of the Dong’s cultural heritage. The Dong are known for having silversmiths in every family, and their traditional attire is richly adorned with silver ornaments.

Dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, many parts of the village are still inhabited, though somewhat dilapidated. While not as grand as the ancient houses of the Jiangnan region, they remain authentically preserved. The site includes structures such as the Scholar’s Mansion, the old government yamen, and a pawnshop—all built with bricks and stones bonded using tung oil and rice paste. Come and experience local life by stepping into their main houses to get a glimpse of the everyday living of the Dong people.
