Chunscao Grassland is situated in the eastern part of Benli Village, Guzhai Yao Ethnic Township, approximately 8 kilometers from the township government office. It lies along both sides of County Road X586, spanning 500 acres and home to more than 30,000 Erythrophleum fordii trees. The area features low-lying land. In 2002, villagers from the four local settlements—Shangwang, Xiawang, Diwen, and Kazheng—responded enthusiastically to the national policy of converting farmland back to forest by planting Erythrophleum fordii saplings. After a decade of careful tending by the community, the trees have grown lush and verdant. The forest exudes a fresh, tranquil, and pristine atmosphere. The Erythrophleum fordii trees complement the Chunscao Grassland beautifully, while murmuring streams weave through the landscape, creating a picturesque scene that feels like a hidden paradise. Visitors find it hard to leave. Chunscao Grassland welcomes all nature lovers to stroll through the woods and experience the life philosophy of “returning to nature and achieving harmony between humanity and the environment.”

Guzhai Township: Guzhai Yao Ethnic Township is located in the mountainous region of eastern Mashan County. It borders Jiufang Township to the east, connects with Gulinqi Town and Baishan Town to the southwest, adjoins Zhenxu Township of Shanglin County to the south, and neighbors Lidang Township and Jinchai Town to the north.
