The Buddhist Cave Stone Carvings are located in Fuxia Tun, Tansha Village, Zhoulu Town, Mashan County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, and are categorized as cave temples and stone carvings.

In 1989, the Buddhist Cave Stone Carvings were designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Mashan County.

Tansha Village: Tansha Village borders Qiaoli Township to the southeast. It adjoins Shitang Village, Tanli Village, Qinma Village, and Zhoushui Village in Zhoulu Town, overseeing seven natural hamlets with a total of 942 farming households and a population of 4,416, including 60 Communist Party members. The village has one Party general branch and three Party branches. There are 800 villagers working outside the village. The village encompasses a total of 3,130 mu of farmland, with over 3,000 mu planted with economic forests such as trees and sugarcane. There are 269 biogas digesters installed, while 35 households still face relatively difficult living conditions. There are 10 five-guarantee households residing in the village. Currently, social order in the village is generally stable.
