Baima Mountain Stone Carvings
The Baima Mountain Stone Carvings are a cultural relic protection unit of Mashan County.
The Baima Mountain Stone Carvings are located approximately 400 meters northwest of Baima Village, Dongji Village, Qiaoli Township, Mashan County. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, they fall under the category of cave temples and stone carvings.
In 2011, the Baima Mountain Stone Carvings were designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Mashan County.
Dongji Village: Dongji Village is situated in the eastern part of Qiaoli Township, on the southern bank of the Hongshui River. The village committee is 7 kilometers from Mashan County town and 4 kilometers from the township government seat. It administers four natural villages: Baima, Dongji, Liuyuan, and Nalia. There are four villager groups, with a total of 318 households and 1,640 residents. The village has one Party branch with 26 Party members, including 21 men and 5 women. The total arable land area is 716.55 mu, of which 502.96 mu are paddy fields, averaging 0.5 mu of arable land per person. The main crops grown include rice, corn, and wood ear mushrooms.
