The former residence of Xu Zechang is located on Zhoushu Street in Yongzhou Town, Mashan County. It dates back to the Republican era and is categorized as an important modern historical site and representative building.

Xu Zechang

Using the alias Li Da (1904–August 1938), he was of the Zhuang ethnic group and a native of Zhoushu Street in Nama County. As a teenager, he lived at the home of his uncle Huang Yongqi (later Chairman of the Guode County Soviet Government) in Duyang Township, Guode County (now part of Pingguo County), where he was influenced by revolutionary ideas.

In 1925, he studied at the Ninth Provincial Middle School of Guangxi (Wuming). During his time at school, he cared deeply about the fate of the nation and its people, and was outraged by the profound suffering brought upon the populace by imperialist aggression and the infighting of feudal warlords, which led him to resolve to seek a path to save the country and its people.

It lies 84 kilometers from the county seat and borders Dahua County, Pingguo County, and Zhoulu Town of the same county.
