Chen Shuang Ethnic Village

Chen Shuang Ethnic Village is located in the northwest of Si'en Town, Huanjiang County, about 6 kilometers from the county seat. It is a model village for ethnic unity in the autonomous region.

The village is home to seven ethnic groups: Zhuang, Han, Maonan, Miao, Yao, Shui, and Bouyei. Among them, there are 393 immigrant households totaling 1,920 people, making it a large village with a diverse mix of relocated ethnic populations.

The villagers of Chen Shuang place great importance on the inheritance and protection of ethnic minority cultures. By organizing events such as the Lusheng Festival and ethnic folk performances, they have developed tourism and opened farmhouse inns featuring distinctive ethnic customs. These efforts continuously strengthen local pride and a sense of belonging toward their own cultural heritage.

The village has been awarded titles such as “Model Village for Ethnic Unity and Progress” and “China’s Ethnic Minority Characteristic Village” by the autonomous region and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission.
