Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park was built within the Seaside National Forest Park between Qinhuangdao and Beidaihe, covering an area of 344 hectares with a developed zone of 334 hectares. It is the largest urban-planned wildlife park in China in terms of area, with the highest forest coverage and the most beautiful environment. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot certified under the ISO9002 international quality system.

Located within the Seaside National Forest Park by the green-shaded, golden-sanded shores of the world-renowned Beidaihe Scenic Area, Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park spans 334 hectares, making it the largest in Asia by land area and home to the most naturally beautiful wildlife environment.

Ecological Environment

Leveraging the unique forest resources and beautiful natural surroundings of the forest park, the Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park map

simulates the animals’ native habitats through a large-enclosure free-range approach. The park has established over 20 animal viewing and leisure areas including the Predator Zone, Tropical Animal Zone, Herbivore Zone, African Animal Zone, and Central Entertainment Plaza. Here, lush greenbelts blend seamlessly with the 200-li coastline and the vast boundless sea, forming a spectacular natural panorama. The gifts of nature, enhanced by meticulous human design, offer an exceptionally rich experience for visitors.

While fully protecting and utilizing existing resources, the zoo adopts a large-enclosure free-range system, separating and releasing animals by zone to create an atmosphere of returning to simplicity and nature. This fosters a tourism experience where humans blend into nature and roles between humans and animals are reversed. The park is home to over 80 species and more than 5,000 animals, including globally rare birds and beasts as well as China’s first and second-class protected species such as the Northeast Tiger, African Lion, Giraffe, Zebra, Brown Bear, and Black Swan.
