Baofeng Chan Temple

Baofeng Chan Temple is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural relics protection unit of Hebei Province.

On either side of the main hall’s entrance are embedded stone tablets from the Ming Dynasty commemorating its renovation. The four inner walls are inlaid with 27 stone horizontal tablets engraved with images of the Tathagata, heavenly kings, and guardians, all rendered with full-bodied forms and gracefully flowing robes. Located on Baoshi Mountain, 21 kilometers northeast of Funing County, the temple was originally built during the Yuan Dynasty and renovated during the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty. It faces south and currently consists of one main hall and three west-side rooms.
