The Rongjiang River Valley Water Conservancy Scenic Area in Liucheng County is located in Liucheng County, 46 kilometers from Liuzhou City. It is built along sections of rivers such as the Rongjiang, Longjiang, Liujiang, and Shapu, as well as water conservancy projects including the Dapu Hydropower Station and the Nuomitan Hydropower Station, and is classified as a natural river and lake-type water conservancy scenic area. The scenic area spans 53.2 square kilometers, of which the water area is 45.3 square kilometers. Following the development concept of “overall planning, unified management, phased implementation, and rolling development,” the scenic area leverages its mountain-water resources, cultural heritage, and water conservancy engineering assets to promote a holistic vision and cultivate a large-scale ecological environment. Stretching across Liucheng County, the area integrates “rivers, city, and shores,” surrounded by winding waterways, featuring a meandering shoreline, picturesque riverside scenery, tranquil surroundings, and a strong rural charm that is both refreshing and uplifting. The winding Rongjiang River with its lively waters, the verdant Longjiang River dotted with swaying bamboo and soaring egrets, the beautiful landscapes of Luanshan Mountain and the iconic “diving turtle” rock formation of the Liujiang River, and the thrilling rapids and exciting riverbanks of the Shapu River all offer visitors a chance to experience unique natural scenery and the culture of mountains and rivers.
