The Taolin Kou Scenic Area is situated in the northwest of Qinhuangdao City, a famous tourist spot. It is a scenic tourism zone developed based on the landscape of the Taolin Kou Reservoir, a large national water conservancy project, along with the surrounding natural and cultural sights. The Taolin Kou Reservoir is a major national water conservancy project. The “Moon Bay” in the Taolin Kou Scenic Area is hailed by visitors as the “Little Guilin Beyond the Great Wall.” The bamboo raft drifting developed here fills a gap in Qinhuangdao’s tourism market and is acclaimed as the “Number One Drift in Qinhuangdao.” The waters of Moon Bay are crystal clear; the mountains are veiled in mist, with peaks covered in lush greenery and oddly shaped formations. Challenging limits is a new highlight of modern leisure sports. It tests one’s courage, perseverance, endurance, and other qualities. The “Aerial Zip-line Over Water” at the Taolin Kou Scenic Area is precisely such an activity. Stretching 606 meters with a 50-meter drop, it spans the entire reservoir from the summit of one mountain to another high point, offering a thrilling rush of speed as you soar through the sky and ride the clouds. From the launch platform, looking down, the cliff drops into the vast reservoir. Crossing the water at such a height of over 100 meters is admittedly intimidating. But no need to worry—Peach Blossom Island’s picking garden lets visitors fully enjoy the fun of fruit picking. Not only are wild jujubes abundant, but there are also pear jujubes grafted from them, big as copper bells, sweet and crisp. There are also apples glistening with a light frost, juicy and vibrant. If you’re lucky, you might even pick wild Sichuan peppercorns, which have a much richer flavor than store-bought ones for stewing meat or making soup. When visiting the Taolin Kou Scenic Area, you must try the Taolin Mountain Spring Water. The Peach Blossom Spring on Peach Blossom Island is a perennial ascending spring, unaffected by any natural or human factors. It flows year-round, warm in winter and cool in summer, with a mellow taste like nectar and clarity like fine spring water. Slightly alkaline, it is rich in many minerals beneficial to the human body, maintaining a constant temperature of 15°C.
