Longtan Gorge is located in Zhanggezhuang Village, Daxinzhaizhen Town, Funing County, 33 kilometers from the county seat and 55 kilometers from the coastal open city of Qinhuangdao. National Highways 102 and 205, the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway, as well as the Beijing-Harbin and Beijing-Qinhuangdao railways all pass through the county.
