Xianjing Ancient Rock is located in Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, on the eastern side of Hanbang Mountain, north of Miaohai Village in Donglong Town, facing southwest. It is widely renowned for an ancient natural well within the temple that never dries up year-round and produces sweet, refreshing spring water.

Inside Xianjing Ancient Rock, there is a natural ancient well formed from a large rock, with a natural depression in the middle that forms a water pool. Beside the pool, there is a small crack from which spring water seeps out and gathers in the pool. It is truly a marvel of nature, as if crafted by the divine. The water is pure, sweet, and inexhaustible, resembling fine nectar or jade liquid. This rare, naturally formed, jade-like water source is so unique that it has given the site its name — “Xianjing Ancient Rock.”

Xianjing Ancient Rock is an ancient temple rich in history and marked by the presence of relics of notable figures.

The temple is located in Miaohai, Donglong Town, adjacent to Hanbang Fort. Built against the mountain, it is nestled among green hills and trees, offering a secluded retreat when viewed from afar. From within, one can overlook the bustling highways and roads below, with vehicles coming and going. Resting here, in this tranquil and serene environment, one can deeply feel the poetic essence of “cicadas chirping make the forest seem quieter, birds singing make the mountains seem more secluded.” Xianjing Ancient Rock was established during the Ming Dynasty, about 500 years ago. It underwent two major renovations in 1980 and 1984, restoring it to its former glory. In 1988, it was listed as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit. The temple, situated in the mountains, offers a peaceful environment and is home to fascinating historical relics.

Miaohai Village: Miaohai Village is a revolutionary old base area village, a purely agricultural village, and also a poor village. The Shenshan Expressway, Kuihe Highway, and the planned Second South Ring Road of the county all run through the village. The village currently has 953 households, with a population of 5,384; there are 121 Party members; one primary school with 655 students enrolled. The village covers an area of 3.5 square kilometers, with a total of 1,607 mu of arable land, including 1,175 mu of paddy fields, 432 mu of dry farmland, and 1,000 mu of mountainous land, of which 750 mu are fruit orchards.
