Taiwan’s Version of Kenrokuen Japanese-Style Landscape Farm Offers Free Entry Indefinitely to Attract Visitors

A new attraction that emerged in Yunlin earlier this year, “Chenglin Aquilaria Eco-Agricultural Leisure Farm,” covers an area of approximately 5.8 hectares and is Asia’s only eco-park dedicated to agarwood. Outdoors, it features an elegant Japanese garden, a sand play area, and the most eye-catching attraction—a large scenic ecological pond dubbed the “Yunlin version of a central water feature.” The farm is currently offering free entry to visitors, with the original promotion set to end on December 31. However, on November 13, its official Facebook page announced that free admission will continue indefinitely.

The Japanese Zen-style landscaping at Chenglin Aquilaria Farm is simple and elegant, with over 80 varieties of trees planted in the garden for visitors to enjoy. Indoors, there are various exquisite wooden artworks, including the world’s largest thousand-year-old sacred tree from Alishan and a two-story-high thousand-year-old aquilaria wood. It is a high-quality agarwood ecological park that combines nature, environmental protection, and excellence, and has become a new photography landmark for travelers in Yunlin.
