Zhenjiang Ancient Temple, located beside the eastern embankment of Longxi by Shimei Mountain in Longjiang Town, 15 kilometers west of Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, was founded during the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty (1506–1521). "Longxi Embracing the River" was one of the ancient Eight Scenic Spots of Huilai. The temple has been newly renovated, with a plaque inscribed by Zhao Puchu, President of the Buddhist Association. It was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit on January 10, 1989, underwent restoration and consecration in June 1991, and was officially registered and opened to the public on October 1, 1995. It is a notable scenic site in Huilai.
