Ancient Village at the Foot of the Mountain

The ancient village at the foot of the mountain is situated between the Zifeng Mountain Range and the southern mountain range, rich in tourism resources. There are over ten well-known tourist attractions in Jieyang nearby, among which two are part of the old Jieyang’s “Eight Outer Scenic Spots”: “Spring Sunshine on Purple Fields” and “Stone Water Tank.” Other attractions include Huayang Taoist Temple, Longzhu Horse Temple, Gui Zhu Garden Rock Scenic Area, Dahhu Rock Scenic Area, Ding Richang’s Tomb, Yisan Public Cemetery, Huaguo Ancient Temple, Pinglin Nianggong, and Chaoyang Marshal’s Mansion. A large number of cultural relics still exist here, such as stone plaques, wooden plaques, stone tablets, ancient carvings, ancient tombs, historic sites, ancient wells, ancient steles, private schools, and ancestral halls, all of which hold significant reference value for the study of Lingnan culture.

Shanqian Village: The Shanqian Community is located in the southern part of Jieyang City, bordering Jinping Town of Chaoyang District and Guangtai Town of Puning City. Provincial Highway S236 runs through the entire area, giving it a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The current area covers 5.4 square kilometers, with a total population of 6,957 and 1,501 households. The arable land area is nearly 2,000 mu, and the hilly land area exceeds 4,000 mu. The main economic pillars are the hardware steel rolling industry and the characteristic agriculture of flowers and plants. Shanqian Iron Street has taken initial shape and become a distribution hub for scrap iron trading in eastern Guangdong, with an annual throughput of over 4 million tons.
