Wangyu Mountain Villa is located in Xinjian Village, Shihexiang, Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. It can be reached by taking the National Highway 102 from the Qinhuangdao or Shanhaiguan exit of the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway. The villa is 17 kilometers from downtown Qinhuangdao. It is a natural scenic tourist area mainly focused on agritainment experiences. Situated at the foot of the Yanshan Mountains and along the middle section of Yansai Lake, it boasts mountain and lake views, with the highest peak reaching an elevation of 412.5 meters. Opened to visitors in October 2002, it now features a number of interactive attractions including the South Heaven Gate Adventure, eco-friendly boat tours on the lake, Golden Toad Resort, paintball arena, macaque monkey park, chestnut plantation, and cherry picking garden.

All the scenic spots within the Wangyu Mountain Villa area are built around Jiwen Mountain. With an elevation of 412.5 meters, Jiwen Mountain is the highest point in the villa’s scenic area. Starting from the foot of Jiwen Mountain, a winding mountain trail leads up the hill. As you walk along the path, you’ll see rippling waters, birds flying, fish leaping, the mighty wind blowing, rugged cliffs, steep terrain, and breathtaking natural craftsmanship. Heading east along the trail, you can also climb the mountain from the other side of Jiwen Mountain, offering endless thrills and enjoyment. Following the mountain and lakeside route, you can reach the South Heaven Gate. This area features rugged terrain, layered peaks, oddly shaped rocks, and towering ancient trees. Two naturally formed mountain peaks stand upright like a pair of heavenly gates, making it a great summer spot for visitors to escape the heat. Once you reach the mountaintop, surrounded by clouds and lush forests, you can look down upon the villa—red rooftops amid green trees, blue skies over clear waters, with light reflecting off the water—an idyllic scene that feels like heaven on earth.
