The stadium is situated within the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center on Hebei Street, spanning 556.78 acres. It comprises a stadium, gymnasium, sports school, sports hotel, supermarket, and other multifunctional supporting facilities, with an expected total investment of 1.085 billion yuan. As part of the football sub-venue stadium project, construction began in May 2002. The main structure has six floors and features a 400-meter standard track and field and football pitch that meet international competition standards, with a seating capacity of 33,000 spectators. The inner and outer ellipse centerlines of the stadium seating are spaced 15 meters apart from east to west, allowing the west stand, which offers better sightlines, to accommodate more spectators. The stands have a total of 33,000 seats, including 2‰ designated for people with disabilities.

From the spectator stands at the Olympic Sports Center venue, visitors can enjoy views of the sea — the location of the stadium was chosen exceptionally well, as it’s considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Although the Qinhuangdao venue was completed not long ago, it boasts advanced facilities and an innovative design. The west stand has two levels, and both the east and west stands feature luxury boxes at the rear. The field includes a standard 400-meter track with a 36.5-meter radius, along with a 104m x 68m natural grass football pitch inside the track. The ground floor of the west stand houses facilities for athletes, referees, organizing committee staff, journalists, and a press center.
