Chaozhou People's Square

Chaozhou People's Square covers an area of 12.73 hectares. It is a multifunctional, multi-level public cultural center integrating municipal, leisure, tourism, and cultural functions.

The design and construction of the square are divided into eight spatial zones: the municipal square area (for large gatherings), the sunken plaza (including an open-air stage), the lawn area, the rest area, the memorial archway street area, the sports area, the cultural area, and the dense forest area (which includes parking spaces).

The square features designs such as "Han River Tide" and "Memorial Archway Street," fully reflecting local style and historical-cultural characteristics. The majestic dry fountain, the musical water fountain, colorful lighting decorations, melodious background music, and large electronic screens all contribute to the modern atmosphere of the central square.

As night falls, the square lights up, and the combination of clear springs, flowing water, fountains, and music creates a beautiful and splendid scene.

Tip: Visiting the central square during the day is not particularly meaningful; it is recommended to visit more in the evening. The musical fountain is generally open every night (opening hours: 20:00–21:00). There are some illegally operated parking lots around the square; visitors driving their own cars are advised to park in official parking areas.
