The Ancient Wells of the Old Town are a cultural relic protection unit of Chaozhou City.

The Ancient Wells of the Old Town (including the East Gate Big Well, Yi Well, Kaiyuan Ancient Well, Two-Eye Well, Four-Eye Well, Guangyuan Street Well, Maitreya Well, Lotus Well, Mother-and-Son Spring, totaling nine sites) are located within the urban area and date from the Song to the Qing dynasties.

In 2011, the Ancient Wells of the Old Town were designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Chaozhou City.
