Dacheng Bay Coastal Tourism Area

The Dacheng Bay Coastal Tourism Area is situated to the south of Dacheng Town, extending from Gongkoutou in Zhao’an County, Fujian Province in the east to Jilongjiao in Raoping County in the west, and is named after its location adjacent to Dacheng Town to the north. The bay stretches 36 Chinese miles and is affectionately called “Moon Bay” because its waters resemble a crescent moon. It boasts flat beaches, clear seawater, light cloud cover, gentle winds, and soft sand, making it a natural beach resort. Nearby lie several islets and reefs including Longyu Islet, Nei Yu, Wai Yu, Kaijiao Reef, Luyu Reef, Nantu Reef, and Damu Reef. The area also features a temple dedicated to the Three Mountain Kings... Along the bay lies a 6,200-acre windbreak forest belt, resembling an endless green Great Wall. With vast blue waters and stunning scenery, it is often referred to as the “Golden Beach.” Being here fills one with joy — watch the sunrise, admire the sunset glow, swim in the sea, collect seashells, listen to the sound of the waves, and gaze at fishing boats returning to harbor. Dacheng Town: Located in the southeastern part of Raoping County, Dacheng Town borders Zhao’an County, Fujian Province to the east, neighbors Suocheng Town to the west, leans against the great Damei Mountain to the north, and faces the South China Sea to the south.
