"China Sea Dragon" Tourist Area

Commonly known as the "Sea Mountain Cliff Dragon," the "China Sea Dragon" is located in Waipu, Huanglong, Haishan. The area boasts numerous historical sites and unique natural scenery, and is designated as a provincial-level coastal rocky shore nature reserve. The "China Sea Dragon" is a formation of beach rock created over millions of years through climate change, environmental evolution, crustal movement, and the cementing action of seawater pressure on deposits such as shells and sediments. The long expanse of rocky shore stretches deep into the ocean, covering a total area of 2,875 hectares, with 90% buried under 1–2 meters of silt and sand layers. A more concentrated section, around 475 hectares, is exposed above ground—stretching approximately 4,000 meters in length, 90 meters in width, and 10 meters in thickness—to form the spectacular "Seaside Great Wall." This geological formation is nearly 10,000 years old and was discovered in China for the first time, making it a world-class geological wonder and a unique marvel of China. It holds significant scientific research and sightseeing value for the study of paleontology, mineralogy, ancient environmental evolution, paleoclimatic changes, and crustal uplift and subsidence. The area also features the Tin Hau Temple, the Temple of the Three Righteous Women, the Tiger-Kick Stone wonder, the million-year-old erosional sea rock known as the Stone Turtle, the "Stone Rooster," the "Buffalo Bathing" formation, as well as a provincial-level pollution-free production base—the Haishan Purple Seaweed. It is an ideal destination for developing scientific education and coastal tourism, and the perfect project for investing in the development of a seaside park and a geological museum.
