Xincailou

Xincailou is located in Chitang Village, Raoyang Town, Raoping County, backed by “Xiyanshan Mountain” (west of Provincial Highway Baifeng Line). It is circular in shape, oriented 23 degrees southeast, covering an area of 2,769.8 square meters, with a diameter of 59.4 meters, a circumference of 186.59 meters, and a height of 13.6 meters. The building has four and a half stories, a two-courtyard layout with a central courtyard, and the entire structure is built from rammed yellow earth, with interior surfaces coated in shell lime. There are 32 rooms inside, one public hall, a central square, and two wells. This is the earthen building with the most floors and the greatest height within Raoping County. It is relatively well-preserved. In 1982, the Pearl River Film Studio shot the movie “Heaven’s Gift” here, and in recent years Taiwan has also filmed a TV drama here.
