Dingwei Revolution Memorial Pavilion

The Dingwei Revolution Memorial Pavilion is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province.

The Huanggang Dingwei Revolution was the third rehearsal of the democratic revolution under the leadership of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1907, historically known as the "Dingwei Chaozhou-Huanggang Uprising." To commemorate this significant historical event and honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the revolution, in 1934, people from all walks of life in Huanggang pooled funds to construct the "Huanggang Dingwei Revolution Memorial Pavilion" in Zhongshan Park on the eastern outskirts of Huanggang City.

The pavilion is built with reinforced concrete, measuring 24 meters in width and 12 meters in depth, featuring a raised platform at the front and a chamber at the back. The platform has a semi-circular surface with a base height of 0.8 meters. Inside the pavilion stand seven stone steles inscribed with a summary of this old democratic revolutionary movement and the names of 343 martyrs.

In July 10, 1981, the pavilion was designated as a revolutionary memorial structure, and in 2008, it was listed as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Guangdong Province.
