The Taizaijin Mountain Burial Site is located in Fubin Town, Raoping County. Excavated in 1974, 16 tombs were cleared, all of which were rectangular vertical pit graves. Tomb No. 1 is situated at the top of the mountain, while the others are distributed across the surrounding slopes in a seemingly unordered arrangement. Tomb No. 1 reaches a depth of 3.6 meters, while the others are approximately 0.8 to 1.2 meters deep. The structures of the tombs can be divided into two types: those with a second-level platform and those without. The sizes of the burial pits vary greatly, with the larger ones measuring up to 4 meters in length and 2.9 meters in width, and the smaller ones only 1.2 meters in length and 0.6 meters in width. Burial objects are generally arranged in a “vertical” fashion within the pits. The number of artifacts ranges from as many as 36 pieces to as few as one. Artifacts unearthed include polished stone tools (such as halberds, spears, adzes, chisels, axes, rings, huang pendants, and whetstones), as well as pottery items such as zun vessels, hu pots, dou stem-cups, bowls, basins, cups, jars, and spinning whorls—many of the zun, hu, and dou being glazed pottery. Decorative patterns feature stripes, woven textures, grid patterns, and rope impressions. Some pottery items bear incised symbols. The assemblage of these objects is primarily composed of large-mouthed pottery zun, ring-footed hu pots, dou stem-cups, concave-bottomed jars, and stone tools such as straight-hilted halberds and trapezoidal adzes. Glazed pottery and a diverse array of halberd types are among its distinguishing features. Due to their unique stylistic traits, these remains have been designated as representative of the “Fubin Culture,” dating from the middle to late Shang Dynasty to the early Western Zhou period. This culture shares significant cultural connections with the “Wucheng Culture” of Jiangxi Province and the Shang and Zhou cultures of the Central Plains region.

Fubin Town: Fubin Town is situated in the central part of Raoping County, bordering Fushan to the east, Pingxi to the west, Zhangxi to the south, and Tangxi Town to the north. The Huang-San Highway, which connects Fujian and Guangdong provinces, runs through the town area. It is 25 kilometers east of National Highway 324 and 35 kilometers south of Sanbaimen Port. The town administers 20 village committees, covers a total area of 68.55 square kilometers, and has a population of 18,266. It boasts 70,000 mu of forested hillsides, 11,000 mu of high-quality and rare fruit trees such as lychee, longan, and olive, and 7,000 mu of Lingtou Dancong tea plantations.
