Tomb of Zheng Qingzhi

The Tomb of Zheng Qingzhi is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Zheng Qingzhi is located on Dawan Mountain in Banshang Village, Haishan Town, Raoping County, facing northwest and situated southeastward. The tombstone, measuring 1.4 meters in height and 0.5 meters in width, bears an inscription carved in intaglio: “The Tomb of Zheng Qingzhi, Posthumously Honored as Duke Wei Guo, Grand Tutor, Right Prime Minister, and Imperial Examination Graduate by Imperial Decree of the Song Ancestors; and His Wife, Lady Fan Shu of the First Rank, Honored by Decree.”

Zheng Qingzhi, styled Deyuan and also known as Anwan, was originally named Xie with the courtesy name Wenshu. His posthumous family title was Jing’an. He was a native of Yin County, Zhejiang Province, with ancestral roots in Putian, Fujian. He was born on the 16th day of the first lunar month in the third year of the Chunxi era during the Southern Song Dynasty (1176). He rose to the position of prime minister, serving four terms as chancellor, and held official titles including Minister of the Palace Treasury, Left and Right Prime Ministers, and Grand Tutor. In the 11th year of the Chunyou era (1251), he sailed south with his wife Lady Fan and their four sons to settle in Bansanhaimen. He fell ill and passed away on the 11th day of the 11th lunar month of that year.

In 1992, the Raoping County People’s Government designated it as a cultural relics protection unit.
