Site of the Maoci Meeting

The Site of the Maoci Meeting is a cultural relic protection unit of Guangdong Province, a classic red tourism attraction, and a national defense education base.

The Maoci Meeting was an important military decision-making meeting during China’s New Democratic Revolution. The site is located at Quande School in Maochi Market, Shangrao Town.

Quande School, originally named Longgang Study Hall and commonly known as Tangchen Study, had one classroom, one room, one courtyard, and covered an area of 300 square meters. On October 5, 1927, Comrade Zhu De led the Nanchang Uprising troops to arrive in Maopi, Shangrao, setting up the headquarters at Quande School and holding an important military decision-making meeting there. The former site of Quande School is now an educational base for Party history in Guangdong Province and a patriotic education base in Chaozhou City, serving as an important venue for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education.
