Casuarina Forest

The Casuarina Forest natural landscape is located near Zhuzhou Village in Liuxiang, Doumen District, by the Modaomen Waterway, about 200 meters from the shore and covering an area of approximately 360 acres.

It is a pristine forest composed entirely of casuarina trees growing on an alluvial sand island. Viewed from across the water, it presents a vast expanse of lush greenery blending seamlessly with the sky and water—an awe-inspiring sight.

Nature enthusiasts often take small boats to circle the area. When the tide rises, visitors even paddle their boats into the grove to observe various birds and crabs (fiddler crabs) living among the casuarina trees, as well as the butterflies that inhabit the area.

The Liuxiang Casuarina Forest is a valuable natural resource for Doumen District. It is not only a rare wetland and a natural oxygen bar, but also an untouched frontier for tourism.
