China’s No.1 Silver Workshop

Yongxing is known as the “Silver Capital of China.” China’s No.1 Silver Workshop is a national-level industrial tourism demonstration site themed around silver culture, showcasing Yongxing’s traditional smelting techniques. The scenic area covers an area of over 40 acres, with a total floor space of more than 5,000 square meters. The site is divided into four zones: cultural experience, smelting viewing, image display, and tourism shopping. Major attractions include China’s No.1 Silver Building in the World, the Silver Art Museum, Huaxin Palace, the Silver Purification Production Line, the Handcrafted Silver Jewelry Workshop, and the Sales Exhibition Center.

The Silver Building is a landmark structure of the “Silver Capital of China” created by Hunan Xinda Silver Industry Group. It is a two-story building with a steel-concrete structure, entirely wrapped in 50,000 taels of silver foil on the exterior, presenting a gleaming, silvery-white and dazzling appearance. The China Silver Art Museum covers an area of 600 square meters and includes three exhibition halls, displaying a total of more than 300 pieces of precious pure silver handicrafts from various dynasties.

Transportation

Get to downtown Chenzhou City, then take a long-distance bus from the Chenzhou City Bus Terminal to Yongxing County. From there, take a taxi to the Silver Workshop (only a few yuan).
