Huxing Mountain Park

Huxing Mountain Park is located in Jinbu Village, Huangshawan Subdistrict, Shigu District, Hengyang City. As a comprehensive ecological park in the urban center of Hengyang, the park features two peaks—Huxing Mountain North and South. The park strikes a balance between “man-made” and “natural” elements. The so-called “man-made” refers to artificially embedded landscapes within the park. The “natural” aspects are formed through the original diverse ecological environments, such as grasslands, slopes, shrubbery, woodlands, hills, and water surfaces, creating varied natural landscapes that allow visitors to experience different ecological environments of nature.

Huxing Mountain Park is divided into four major scenic areas: the “Morning Glow and Dawn Melody” area in the east, the “Sunset and Dusk Song” area in the west, the central activity area at the mountaintop, and the mountain ridge experience area, each offering activities tailored to their unique characteristics.

The “Morning Glow and Dawn Melody” area is located on the eastern slope and mainly consists of several functional zones, including the main entrance plaza activity area, leisure sports area, leisure and entertainment area, and children’s boat dock.

The “Sunset and Dusk Song” area is situated on the western slope and primarily includes functional zones such as the secondary entrance plaza activity area and forest theater.

The mountaintop activity area mainly comprises functional zones such as the mountaintop viewing platform, leisure tea house, and children’s activity area.

The mountain ridge experience area consists of functional zones such as specialty climbing trails and extreme sports areas.

Huxing Mountain Park boasts well-preserved vegetation and is a poetic and romantic leisure destination in Hunan Province. In spring, camellias and azaleas bloom in vibrant colors; in early summer, the broad leaves of magnolia trees frame pure white blossoms, while gardenias emit their enchanting fragrance; in autumn, the scent of osmanthus fills the air, and red maples and Japanese maples attract visitors with their brilliant red foliage; in winter, evergreen trees display their year-round beauty.

Huxing Mountain Civil Air Defense Park is the first green ecological park in Hunan Province to integrate ecological conservation, recreational fitness, and civil air defense evacuation functions. It is also the first theme park in Hengyang City that embodies the concept of peacetime and wartime integration, serving as a park focused on leisure, entertainment, and fitness for citizens during normal times.
