Shijia Mosque
Shijia Mosque is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.
Shijia Mosque, located in Shijia Village, Shuangfeng Township, was constructed in 1775 (the 40th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty) under the supervision of the renowned Islamic scholar Chang Jie. Covering an area of 2,704 square meters, it serves as a place of worship for local Muslims.
The main building of the mosque, the prayer hall, faces east and is built with a wooden frame and brick structure. The front porch is supported by red pillars, with plaques hanging horizontally, carved lattice windows, and painted decorations, making it quite beautiful, solemn, and elegant. The entire hall covers a construction area of 480 square meters and can accommodate up to a thousand worshippers. Within the courtyard, there are three scripture lecture rooms, housing a handwritten copy of the Quran by Chang Jie, five bathing rooms, and three other auxiliary rooms, all built with a brick-and-wood structure and topped with green tiles. The yard is lush with flowers and ancient trees, offering a serene and fragrant environment. The mosque gate is double-tiered, flanked by stone drums, with several steps leading up.
The entire architectural complex is simple and elegant, solemn and tranquil. It not only preserves the typical architectural style of the Qing Dynasty but also incorporates elements of Islamic design, making it the only well-preserved ethnic architectural site in Linyi County.
Linan Town: Located at the junction of Jiyang, Qihe, and Linyi counties, Linan Town was formed in February 1993 through the merger of the former Xiakou Town, Shuangfeng Township, and Yuanlinzhi administrative areas. The town covers a total area of 112 square kilometers, with 82,000 mu of arable land, 81 administrative villages, and a population of 43,000. National Highway 104 runs north-south through the town, while Xiawang Road and Tuanjie Road span east-west. Over 30 roads crisscross the town, providing convenient transportation. There are more than 7,000 installed program-controlled telephones, with a penetration rate of over 80%. The Linnan Oil Extraction Plant is situated in the center of the town, where over 170 oil and gas wells have been developed.
