The three ancestral halls of the Mao family, namely the Mao Clan Ancestral Hall, the Mao Zhen Ancestral Hall, and the Mao Jian Ancestral Hall.

The Mao Clan Ancestral Hall is located at the foot of Yinping Mountain. It is a brick-and-wood structure building backed by green hills, and is very majestic. In 1925, Mao Zedong once ran a night school for farmers here. Today, the hall hosts an exhibition on the Mao family lineage.

The Mao Zhen Ancestral Hall is located at the foot of Muzi Mountain. It is the ancestral hall of the Zhen branch of the Mao family, with a construction area of nearly 1,000 square meters. In June 1959, Mao Zedong visited here when he returned to Shaoshan.

The Mao Jian Ancestral Hall is located in Shatao. It is a branch ancestral hall of the Jian branch of the Mao family. In 1927, Mao Zedong once investigated the peasant movement here.

All three Mao Clan Ancestral Halls are built in picturesque locations within Shaoshan Valley, blending harmoniously with the surrounding forests and each possessing unique characteristics.
