The Shaoshan Irrigation District Exhibition Hall is a patriotic education base.

The Shaoshan Irrigation District Exhibition Hall was constructed in 1966, parallel to the main development of the irrigation district, and was upgraded and improved in 2016. The post-renovation exhibition hall spans around 600 square meters and mainly utilizes artistic elements including panels, real objects, sculptures, paintings, and multimedia to create an immersive experience that reproduces, touches, traverses, and dialogues with history. It not only showcases the arduous glory of constructing the irrigation project—described as “a heavenly river descending from the skies, a miracle wrought by humankind”—but also highlights the vibrant vitality of the Shaoshan Irrigation District, as well as the prosperity and ecological beauty it has brought to central Hunan.
