Moshiyao Kiln Site

The Moshiyao Kiln Site is located on the edge of the hill behind the residence of local resident Tan Sicheng in Dongtang Group, Bailin Village, Yanglin Township, Shaoshan City, covering an area of approximately 2,900 square meters in a strip-like distribution. The cultural deposit is 0.3–1.5 meters thick. Fragments of blue-white glazed porcelain bowls and molds have been collected here. It is an important kiln site from the Yuan Dynasty in our city and is of great value to the study of Yuan Dynasty culture in our city.

Current condition: The site is currently in poor preservation, with most of it damaged and reclaimed as vegetable plots by local residents. A large number of fragments of blue-white glazed porcelain bowls and molds are scattered across the ground.

Yanglin Township: The township was originally named after the Yanglin Temple located within its borders, situated in the northwest of the city. It borders Ruyi Township to the east, connects with Baitian Township of Xiangxiang City to the west, neighbors Shaoshan Township to the south, and adjoins Masan Township of Ningxiang County to the north. Covering an area of 50.46 square kilometers, the township currently has 13 administrative villages: Lianyi, Linye, Waping, Xinxī, Shiping, Chunhe, Lianghe, Yanglin, Shanfu, Yunyuan, Fengxing, Bailin, and Moshivillage, comprising 212 villager groups, 1,801 households, and 17,360 people.
