Taohuayuan Ancient Town is located in Changde, Hunan Province, a renowned land of fish and rice. The ancient town is planned and designed according to the standards of a national 5A-level tourist attraction and is being developed as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The project is situated in Taohuayuan Town, Taohuayuan Tourism Management District, Changde City, Hunan Province — the very place depicted in Tao Yuanming’s “The Peach Blossom Spring.”

Covering an area of approximately 1,600 acres, Taohuayuan Ancient Town has a total construction area of about 700,000 square meters, including around 400,000 square meters for the core scenic area and about 300,000 square meters for other scenic zones. The estimated investment is about 5 billion RMB (in words: Fifty Hundred Million Yuan). The project primarily features a cultural theme park supplemented by residential areas. It showcases a grand cultural tourism initiative centered on thousands of years of “Tao Yuanming’s reclusive culture,” using traditional Chinese architectural culture and “Jiangnan-style” traditional architecture as its foundation. Upon completion, it will become a vast complex of traditional buildings.
