Catch the last maple glory—after the golden maples fade, Tulip Season arrives at Peach Blossom Fairy Valley

What Peach Blossom Fairy Valley is most famous for is its tulips—with around 600,000 blooms in shades of purple, red, yellow, and pink. The blooming period is roughly from the end of December to the end of March each year, and when they’re in full bloom, many come to admire this European-style scenic beauty. But before that, the Japanese variety of golden maples in Peach Blossom Fairy Valley are the main stars. Golden maples are different from common maples. No matter how hot or cold the weather is, they start fading from late September every year, gradually shifting from green to golden yellow, and finally shedding their leaves by mid-December. The remaining golden branches against the green mountains offer a uniquely lovely view.

Besides golden maples, the park also plants other trees such as bald cypress, green (and red) maples, and ginkgos—all of which are also gradually changing colors. In addition, Peach Blossom Fairy Valley welcomed its first blooming tulip on the 10th, quietly heralding the upcoming floral season.
