Famous for planting 600,000 tulips, Taoyuan Fairy Valley recently circulated on Line that until December 15, 2017, residents of Taoyuan and Hsinchu could make phone reservations to visit and get a 350 NT discount on the entrance fee. A reporter called to confirm that this is true, but the park has a total visitor limit and will decide based on the crowd level on the day.

Taoyuan Xian Valley is located in the Fuxing District of Taoyuan, covering an area of more than 200 hectares. Currently, the golden maples have all turned yellow, with some having shed leaves and grown new buds. Next come the bald cypresses taking the stage, with the whole expanse of golden maple forest creating a romantic autumn atmosphere.Next January, tulips from the Netherlands will take over.

The park stated that the previously circulated message on the Line social app—“Fuxing Township’s Taoyuan Xianggu Valley will not charge admission (NT$350) until December 15”—is indeed true.But Mr. Tu from the park explained that the event was originally organized for a special group, but due to a misunderstanding by netizens, the activity had to continue.

The park stated that to maintain good park quality, it will adjust services based on the number of visitors each day.However, the phone line is often busy, so the public needs to wait patiently. We deeply apologize to those who were unable to secure a reservation.

Just make a phone reservation in advance, and the park will send you an electronic entry ticket. When you enter, just show your phone to the staff. Currently, the lilies and golden maples are in full bloom. Even a quick walk around took half a day. After exiting the park, head to the nearby Bashang Café for casual meals. Their bread and pizza are freshly baked in a kiln—very delicious!
