The Origin of the Sisters' Pavilion on Cloud Mountain:

Many years ago, tigers and leopards roamed freely on Cloud Mountain, and evil spirits ran rampant. Various demons, in their bid to claim this blessed land as their spiritual domain, unleashed their dark magic, plunging Wugang into chaos and unrest.

After a period of magical battles, a tiger demon that had lived on Cloud Mountain for many years defeated the other demons and took sole control of this precious mountain. However, the tiger demon survived by feeding on human flesh and blood. Once it gained dominance, it often descended the mountain to prey on villagers, claiming many innocent lives. The people lived in terror, too afraid to venture out day or night. It was then that two sisters who had lived in Cat Rock Cave for hundreds of years vowed to slay the tiger demon. But knowing their magic was no match for the tiger’s power, they decided to outwit rather than overpower it. The sisters devised a plan to use the “beauty trap” to subdue the demon.

One night, the younger sister disguised herself and entered the tiger’s lair. She got the tiger demon drunk with wine. Just as she drew her sword to strike, the tiger suddenly woke up, furious at the sight of the beautiful woman attacking it. It lashed out wildly and lunged at the sister. At that moment, the elder sister arrived just in time, stabbing the tiger with her sword. The demon fell to the ground instantly. Visitors, the mountain near the Sisters' Pavilion that resembles a crouching tiger is said to be the transformed body of that very tiger demon.

Later, to commemorate the sisters who rid the people of this menace, a pavilion was built on the mountain and named the Sisters' Pavilion.
