In recent years, Huanggang City has invested 1.5 billion yuan to build the 460-kilometer-long Dabie Mountain Red Tourism Highway. This road runs through seven counties and cities and 22 towns in the northern Dabie Mountain area of Huanggang, connecting 38 scenic spots along the Dabie Mountain, including red heritage sites, green ecological areas, and Zen Buddhist culture zones, as well as 23 towns, benefiting over 2.3 million local residents.
It is reported that in the first half of this year, Huanggang City received a total of 5.5 million domestic and international tourists, a year-on-year increase of 22%, generating a total tourism revenue of 3 billion yuan, up 43% year-on-year, showing a "surge" in the growth of the tourism industry.
