Huaihua Yuhuang Palace

Huaihua Yuhuang Palace is situated in the Zhongpo Mountain Range in Hecheng District, Huaihua City. This area features richly diverse forest scenery and a pleasant, pristine environment, and has been a sacred place for Taoist masters to engage in spiritual cultivation since time immemorial. In the past, the Zhongpo Mountain vicinity was home to numerous temples and Taoist shrines, attracting worshippers from nearby areas who came to offer incense annually. The place enjoyed great religious prosperity, but later, due to historical factors, many of these palaces and temples gradually vanished into the annals of history.

Since the groundbreaking of Yuhuang Palace, it has consistently upheld the principles of patriotism and love for religion, adhering to the policies of independence, self-reliance, and self-sustainability. It has been dedicated to constructing and maintaining the temple structures, as well as protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its clergy. The temple enjoys widespread support among devotees, upholds lofty Taoist values, and promotes the teachings of Taoism.

After more than a decade of hard work, Yuhuang Palace has acquired over 40 acres of land. It has completed the construction of the Three Pure Ones Hall, Guanyin Hall, God of Wealth Hall, Nanyue Hall, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Yuan Chen Hall, Earth Mother Hall, Wanshou Hall, Zhang Tianshi’s Treasure Hall, Kitchen God Tower, and office buildings, along with two Immortal Encounter Bridges, a water pump house—totaling nine halls, two towers, two bridges, and one building. The total floor area of the halls is 3,628 square meters, and 184 statues of deities have been enshrined.
