Tenth-anniversary revival of Taichung's old city district: Top attraction voted as the most charming Liuchuan riverside

Taichung’s urban core district is primarily centered around the old city area, which was once a bustling and prosperous downtown. However, with the westward shift of urban development, the old city gradually declined. In response, the municipal government specially organized an online voting campaign for the top ten attractions in the central city area, attracting nearly a thousand citizens to enthusiastically cast their votes online. The “Liuchuan Riverside” won first place among the top ten attractions with 33% of the vote, followed by the Calligraphy Greenway and the Old Taichung Train Station in second and third place respectively.

In the online voting for the top ten attractions in Taichung’s urban core district, “Liuchuan Riverside” claimed the top spot with 33% of the vote. Other featured attractions include the Calligraphy Greenway, Old Taichung Train Station, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung Park, Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park, National Museum of Natural Science, Audit Village, Daohe Six Arts Cultural Hall, and the Second Market.
