Fenghuang Rainbow Bridge

The Fenghuang Rainbow Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province.

Originally named the Recumbent Rainbow Bridge and also known as the "Wind and Rain Tower," the Rainbow Bridge was built in the early years of the Hongwu reign during the Ming Dynasty. Located in the heart of Fenghuang, it provides convenient access to all parts of the town. Spanning the mother river, the bridge is now not only one of Fenghuang’s most famous attractions but also a great spot for shopping. From the Rainbow Bridge, you can take in the entire town of Fenghuang and the picturesque scenery along both banks of the Tuojiang River. The bridge has two levels: the first floor mainly consists of shops and convenience stores, while the second floor is a Folk Culture Building that houses calligraphy and paintings related to the Wind and Rain Tower from ancient times to the present. It's also a wonderful place for sightseeing and tea.

Transportation

Easily accessible on foot within the Fenghuang Ancient Town.

Admission

No ticket check is required on the first floor of the Rainbow Bridge, which is open for free access; the second floor, the Rainbow Art Museum, is part of the Nine Scenic Spots of Fenghuang and requires a combined ticket of 148 RMB. Admission to the second floor is ticket-controlled.
