When graduation season arrives, the vibrant blooms of the flame tree also celebrate as students step into the next chapter of their lives. The blooming flame trees, like a sea of red flames, are hailed as one of the most vibrantly colored trees in the world, mostly blooming in May, June, and July. Coinciding with Taiwan's campus graduation season, it has also become a symbol of this time of year.

1. Kaohsiung – Dahua Tomato Society
In Kaohsiung’s Dahua Tomato Society, a century-old flame tree stands silently within the abandoned factory buildings. It has now entered its flowering season, bringing a different kind of seasonal beauty to the derelict red-brick gray walls and crumbling ruins, attracting many photography enthusiasts to capture its charm.

2. Changhua – Phoenix Tree Tunnel on Lüsun Road, Xizhou Township
Flame trees can be seen throughout Changhua’s campuses and parks, but especially along the 2-kilometer stretch of flame trees planted on Lüsun Road in Xizhou Township. Every year during the flame tree season, the profusion of blossoms turns the entire row of roadside trees as if they’re all wearing festive, beautiful red shirts—trees and ground alike ablaze in crimson, dazzling like a green tunnel.

Transportation info: Exit at Beidou Interchange -> Go straight until you see Dingbei Road and turn left -> Follow Section 4 of Xixia Road (Provincial Highway 152) -> Turn left onto Xiatiann Road (Changhua County Route 99) and continue straight to reach Lüsun Road
