Tuojiang Jumping Rock

The Tuojiang Jumping Rock is 100 meters long and consists of 15 stone piers. Viewing the Tuojiang River from the middle of the jumping rock offers the most beautiful and complete scenery of Fenghuang. This site served as a major route for attacks on the ancient city of Fenghuang during the Qian-Jia Miao Rebellion, the Xinhai Revolution’s Fenghuang Uprising, and the Liberation War. As one of the main passages in and out of Fenghuang Ancient Town, the jumping rock holds special significance for the people of Fenghuang. Pedestrians carrying mountain goods and Miao women dressed in vibrant traditional costumes pass here in an endless stream every day, creating a moving scene.
