Phoenix Scenic Area
The Phoenix Scenic Area is a national-level scenic area.
The scope of the Phoenix Scenic Area includes some important scenic spots outside the ancient city of Phoenix, such as Tengliang Mountain and Tianxing Mountain.
The State Council issued the "Notice on the Release of the Eighth Batch of National Scenic Areas" (Guo Han [2012] No. 180), publishing the approved eighth batch of national scenic areas, and the Phoenix Scenic Area in Xiangxi Prefecture was successfully selected, becoming the third national-level scenic area in the prefecture after Mengdong River and Dehang.
Significance of Establishment
The Phoenix Scenic Area boasts unique landscapes and beautiful mountains and waters. The successful designation of the Phoenix Scenic Area as a national-level scenic area will facilitate the expansion and development of tourism in Phoenix, alleviate the pressure on the preservation of the ancient city, and promote the sustainable development of tourism in the region.
